This is a dry Rosé that’s fruit-driven and ruby blush in colour. Ultra-smooth and savoury on the palate with bright floral notes and a hint if watermelon.

A Rosé that’s uniquely Tasmanian, from a place unlike anywhere else.

Description

Vineyard Region: Tasmania
Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 12.5%
Colour: A beautiful delicate salmon pink blush
Aroma: The nose is lifted with strawberry’s and watermelon with a subtle spice
Palate: The palate is bright and crunchy with red fruit notes and a savoury edge
Peak Drinking: Until Spring 2022

Recommended food pairings: This Devil’s Corner Rosé is perfect for spring and summer enjoyment. It will work with a wide range of seafood dishes especially sashimi. Try it with a charcuterie board and lighter cheeses like camembert or brie.

Growing Conditions: Our vineyards are located on Tasmania’s East Coast and the Tamar Valley in the north of the state.

Winemaking notes: The fruit was destemmed and free run juice taken away from the skins almost immediately. The juice was oxidatively handled and 20% aged in older French oak for complexity. It was bottled with an alcohol of 12.5%.  Vegan-friendly.

“73/27% Kayena/ Hazards vineyards; 30% fermented with oak. The inaugural 2020 was one of my favourite rosés of the year and 2021 upholds the legacy, though in a very different vibe. True to the season, this is a more coiled and tangy style. With a gorgeous, pale salmon hue, it delivers watermelon, guava, Pink Lady apple and tangy pink grapefruit. A touch of impeccably gauged pithy bite unites with vivacious Tasmanian acidity to provide tension that will appreciate a few months bottle age to come into its own. This promises to come right on cue for the start of summer 2021. Impressive line, length and class.”
