Aromas of blackberries and dark plums. With a rich palate, subtle tannins, this is a wine that has medium cellaring potential up to five years.
Malbec is a variety that originates in the south-west of France. Plantings of Malbec in Australia are quite small. The grapes used to make this wine were grown at our Heathcote vineyard in central Victoria.

Recommended food pairings: This full-bodied wine is an ideal partner for a wide variety of robust winter dishes. It would be fabulous with such hearty dishes as osso bucco served with polenta, or a traditional cassoulet brimming with duck legs, spicy sausage, morsels of smoked ham and hearty haricot beans. It would also be simply sensational with red meat dishes of kangaroo or venison with garlic mash.

Winemaking notes: Following fermentation, the wine spent 12 months in older French and American oak barriques. The wine was bottled with an alcohol of 14%. Vegan-friendly.
